I got the joke; perfectly appropriate! :)
SACD is not resting, new ones virtually every week , I hear them on BBC 3 CD review every Saturday morning not especially as SACDs the presenter always gives the full info of the CD,s played , many are hybrid SACD, mostly Classical.

It was a joke referencing the Monty Python Dead Parrot sketch. While I like SACD it will be gone in a few years. I'd bet anything on that. I did despise to a level, reissues of old recordings on SACD. New native DSD SACD's could be quite good. I did however find them as likely to be poorly mastered as any other recordings. I'm surprised so many of these "engineers" have jobs they do such a bad job.

A poor joke ,SACD IMO will be around as long as there are physical discs , will last just as Vinyl has for over half a century with good and not so good results , fortunately more good than bad ones. Long Live mch SACD.
Not a poor joke, you're too sensitive about something you like

You will lose your bet of that I am certain.
