I got mine last month and I'm thrilled with it. I've got about 150G of lossless music loaded so far but have yet to purchase any hi-rez downloads. I dont fully understand the up converting process that it performs on CD level files but I don't care....it sounds fantastic. Yes the loading process could be a bit easier, namely direct via an Ethernet cable instead of forcing me to use a router in between the computer and the Sony but it's a minor inconvenience. The app for an iPad however is great.

I might have to give it another try since the software has been updated. I had some issues with duplicates and album art getting placed on the wrong albums and things of that nature. For example, in a 2-CD set, the first CD would have the correct album art but the 2nd CD would often pickup a random unrelated album cover.
I had no complaints with the sound. Sony got that right. It was truly excellent even on standard CD files.
After 600+ covers I've only found one error: Billy Idol became Al Stewart. :)
Do know if Sony was supposed to set up a download store for direct downloads to the HAP-Z1ES via internet? Or did I just imagine reading that somewhere?
I was looking forward to that, especially given Sony's huge back catalog of music but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
That's a shame. It would have been very convenient to buy quality downloads via internet w/o having to load the files on a PC first. Still a nice device though.
