Very cool, modding players. Which models have you modded?
Follow Ups:
I have modded Pioneer DV-33, DV-578A, Marantz CD63, Sony DVP-NS500V, DVP-NS775V,Toshiba SD4960; mostly capacitor upgrades.
Very nice! Rpower. Modding cd/sacd players is my 2nd fascination. My 1st fascination is cables/power cords!
It's all about replacing those mediocre output coupling caps with something that meshs well with your system sound. Most roll off the top end to a greater or lesser degree.
I swapped out a pair of Nichicon bipolar coupling caps in my Lepai LP7498E amp last night. Used a pair of Black Gate NXs and really opened up the top end. Much better space and air. Better all round. What fun!
BTW, can you recommend a pair of good sounding affordable speaker cables?

I think fantja has a problem talking about speaker cables. I have discovered some very good speaker cables that are extremely affordable. Here is my last discussion with fantja about speaker cables:
Wow! Does he ever!

Many Thanks! Feel free to keep me posted as you complete more mods.
