I like to think that rationality always wins out in the long run! ;-)
Maybe they'll one day support hi-rez downloads too - just give them time!

Ya, the money was too good to resist as Stephen wanted to see that he got his 5%.
Great news!
Obviously you can play these in a blu ray player.
But can you just copy the 24/96 files to your PC and use a streamer?
I have three 'music' systems and ONE home theater. The HT is where the blu rayer player is, and I'm not likely to get another one for the handful of discs I might like to buy.

Blu Ray audio, 24/96 PCM files. Have of them (SA-CD net) will almost commit suicide. Rigid lot.

I don't understand the meaning of this post, except that you are saying that Blu-Ray Audio is 24/96 PCM digital. I don't understand the rest of it. Could you say it differently so that a lay person can understand what you're talking about.
Thanks,

"About Blu-Ray Pure Audio Disc...
No Compression, No Compromise: True High-Resolution 24bit/96k Audiophile Sound
Universal Music Group has gone back to the original master tapes to deliver fully uncompressed, high-resolution versions of many of your favorite albums. Mastered at 24bit/96k, the label's Blu-Ray Pure Audio Discs deliver the sound the artists heard in the studio when these classic albums were recorded.
Recordings are transferred from the original master tapes and delivered in High-Resolution 24bit/96khz audio
Three separate choices of audio file format for playback: PCM 2.0, Dolby True HD, or DTS-HD Master Audio (Note: 5.1 available where noted)
Your preferred audio format is chosen either by pressing the "Audio" button on your Blu-ray remote or via the On-Screen Menu Display... "
Ah, yes! I am familiar with the attributes of 24/96 and even higher resolution 24/192 digital. Thank you.
I make my own 24/96 digital recordings of vinyl records using an Alesis Masterlink digital recorder.
Thanks again,
John Elison
