All else being equal, I doubt that I could hear any difference whatsoever. But DSD is the only digital format that has left me wanting more (of the same).
The more samples the better!

The Oppo 105 makes it easy to compare DSD with PCM. I can't tell the difference with an audio chain comprised of Parasound JC-2 analog stereo preamp to Proceed HPA amps that drive KEF Reference 107/2s. I can tell the difference with multichannel, because speaker distance and level information for the surrounds are not available with DSD, so I have a preference for PCM.

No matter which format a person prefers, the differences between the two would seem to be subtle at best.
It really shouldn't be a "preference"..it should be that you pick the format that is closest to the master tape generation of that recording (assuming your playback devices can handle all formats). If it was recorded or first mastered in PCM, pick the native PCM...if it was recorded or first mastered in DSD (or also like analog-to-DSD) then pick DSD. If the choice is not available then choose the one that is a sweetspot for your DAC (and all of them have sweetspots).
