My opinions would also be biased since I am a McIntosh guy, all my power electronics are vintage Mac and have been for more than 40 years.
That said I seriously considered the 201, but even on the biased Mac forum there were way too many complains about problems with this player and Mac Keeps offering more and more firwares to solve the problems.
I still do not have a SACD player but I believe that I am ready for a MC rather a stereo only player, probably experiment with OPPO 970 as they are so cheap and then move up to a more elaborate system.
