I am trying to modify my Denon 2900 and I am looking for suggestions. The stock I-V op amps on this unit are JRC2068. What is the best replacement? I do not think there is not enough space in the player for an adaptor to mount two OPA627s so I am considering opa2132s and LM6172s. Are they good enough? Which one is better?I am going to replace op275s in the amp/out stages by opa2134s. Is it necessary? In addition, how critical is the filter op amp (BA15218)? Do I need to replace them as well? Many thanks.

fwiw you should try to contact alex at apl hi-fi. what he did to my 2900 is absolutly incredible. he may be able to give you a tip or two...
I will do that. Do you also know what the modes are? Thanks.
he doesn't mod them, so much as he redesigns them. you can get an idea of what i mean by looking at the pic in my system here. i don't think he's doing them any more, but he might be able to point you in a good direction. fwiw he's absolutely the first person i'd ask.
Where is the picture?

That is some makeover! And it is a lot more than I have in mind for my unit.
