Was wondering if I am hearing correctly on my system the voices/scatting in the background on some cuts like on #6 (We See).
I think it is supposed to be there:)
Follow Ups:
Monk's voice was often inaudible but I do pick it out consistently on the SACDs, particularly Solo Monk since (obviously) no other instruments are involved.Bud Powell, a contemporary of Monk's, was notorious for this.

OK. I thought he was moaning or scatting or humming so my ears are not playing tricks on me. This SACD is like good vinyl-you hear a lot of things in the venue.
Believe it or not this is the first T. Monk work I have listened to closely.
I have been mostly into horn, and sax players for years and never really listened to his work except in passing.
He is brilliant without a doubt.
