Is there any plans/ rumors of plans of analog transfers of the LS catalog? Aren't the HK ones from PCM copies? Is this a Warner ownership conflict?
Follow Ups:
not in BMG's new relationship with Sony but in the corporate perception of whether non-multichannel SACD's can gain traction in the consumer market (note Russell's comments in bmoura's thread on Telarc's planned releases). It's possible that in order to get analog-mastered Living Stereo SACD's we may have to rely on the likes of Steve Hoffman (hi, Steve :-)) or other third parties to get those--and other--"golden age of stereo" gems to market.
Form the q&a page on www.bmg.com:"What will the new company look like?
The new company, called Sony BMG, will only include the recorded music businesses of SONY Music Entertainment and BMG and will focus on artist development, promotion, sales and marketing. Manufacturing, physical distribution and the companies' existing music publishing businesses are excluded from this transaction. "The link to another forum is from the category rumors department.
