And as for where the hell I should post it... WHO CARES!!!
"And as for where the hell I should post it... WHO CARES!!!"
I'd choose this particular board if I had an abject fear of negative responses...... [-;
Nice material..... Too bad not many people on AA are going to view it.
... hoe few inmates post at the music forums.

I'm not. From what I've seen, most care more about the technology than the music. And, most of the threads that discuss music, reference the same few tired "legacy" artists over and over. There is very little discussion of new artists, and when there is, they are usually compared to the same few tired "legacy" artists. Also, it appears that very few of the contributors actually get out to see live music at all! There are however, plenty of musical armchair quarterbacks.
I LOVE Craig Armstrong!
Seems hip enough to post here Dave! Not your usual Grand Daddy's classics...
I very much like this style of music. Inherently beautiful in simplicity, it does not seem overtly contrived. It does not need addtional decoration to make it interesting or moving.
I know little (nothing?) of this style of music... where to begin?
Cheers

Hey Dave, did you ever buy any Thomas Newman CDs after you saw that movie (can't remember which one) that he did the soundtrack to that you liked? If not, let me recommend 'The Shawshank Redemption' for starters. After I first watched that movie I immediately ordered the soundtrack and became a HUGE fan of his. I now own almost all his CDs. Also, if you haven't seen the movie watch it. It's a masterpiece and my #1 all time favorite movie. I guarantee you will like it.Oh, and also, I post where I want certain people to read them, not necessarily by category.

I didn't buy the soundtrack and can't remember the film... hang on... was it Revolutionary Road?
I will seek some out this weekend if I can escape the house, the kids, the swine flu!
