I have not got Luxa, yet. From what I understand, it is more keyboard focussed than some of his more ambient works. I got into Budd for his ambient works, but have come to really appreciate his spare, melodic, nuanced piano works - I very much like his style. I very much like Music for Three Pianos, though it is far too short at about 25 mins, IIRC.
Reviewers and purchasers/listener seem to have differing views on some of Budd's works. I put this down to the generally different expectations of each group. Reviewers thought Luxa to be moderately good; owners seem to love it. If you don't own many of his more keyboard-focussed works, I'd say give it a go.
Apologies for the rant.
Cheers
Raymond
