I bought a batch of lps from a guy and he 'threw in' a pair of headphones. I did not realize anything about them but they seemed heavy and well made. They are a pair of Yamaha yh-1000. I gather they may be desirable. Anything I should be aware of before I plug them in?
I am not a headphone guy but it should be fun to check them out
thanks for any help

Per a Head-Fi review, these were top Yamaha phones in 70's and 80's.
Excellent vocals, little weaker at extremes. Interestingly there are some ads asking for sets with one blown driver. No factory support, but if your pair is defective someone else may want it. If yours is fine enjoy it carefully...:)
Thanks for the advice. I got an adapter and everything sounds good. Not sure I will want to keep something that I have to worry about.
