Which one?
Observe, before you think. Think before you open your yap. Act on the basis of experience.

Like this one, but the circuit board only, with parts already stuffed, for like $30.00 and FREE shipping. I ordered a separate transformer for $16.00 from U.S.A. I was going really cheap. It should be my best headphone amp after I'm done with it. Doing the casework is a real pain, so maybe I'll hammer a few pieces of wood together.
I don't feel bad about ripping off intellectual property like this because the circuits are rather simple actually, and bang for the buck from Lehmann audio while OK, if you count the cost of the parts, we are really getting ripped off when we buy such gear.
I'd be really careful if you're snagging a stuffed board for $30 that has a $10 pot, a $3 op-amp, and then a bunch of other parts, things don't quite add up.
On the other hand, maybe the stuffed board will just have very different parts?
I doubt the parts are of that nature. The op-amps must be socketed, so I can experiment. But the circuit is really simple and do Lehmann headphone amps really come stuffed with Caddock resistors and Blackgate capacitors?
Still, one can hardly buy the parts themselves for that price and then the circuit board comes out to $5 and the stuffing was actually a $5 premium.
except for a very high premium as they haven't made for a number of years now. I have many NOS but they need to be kept in the right conditions to remain viable. But one BG cap could cost more than that.

And some other new alternatives.
I have been hoping for something like this. I have, maybe 100 or a few more NOS of high voltage and lower voltage that I use sparingly but to have something new on the horizon would be great.
Remember the TV that Audio Note replaced all the caps with BG's and while I never saw the image, Peter said he got an overall improvement that made it worth while.

Let us know what you think when you get it.

Well, hooked it up with electricity exposed. Kind of harsh sounding at first, so put it away after half an hour.Second listen: What great sounding bass. The highs are a little detailed sounding. I listened for over an hour.
Overall, looking at the pre-assembled units, that sell for $200.00 shipped, I think they are worth it.
So far, $32.00 plus $16 for the toroidal transformer and it's my best headphone amp yet.
Now, I have to figure out how to do a case for it, which is ALWAYS the great difficulty of DIY. I would settle for two boxes and keep the PS separate, but I don't see any I like until we get > $85.00 shipped. I'm thinking wood and plexiglass. I have to keep the wood content down or else it becomes a very heavy case.

Just ordered the case for it from Hong Kong.Case: $50.00
Electronics: $50.00Caveats are that the potentiometer seemed to be of low quality on my existing circuit board.
Bigger Caveat: Maybe, I should have never started this project. Casework is costing MORE than the original stuffed circuit board.
Shoehorning will be NECESSARY. Damn.Replaced the op-amp with a high-end one and, of course, much better detail overall.
I have to admit the design with output transistors, in general, gives a lot more bass reinforcement that exclusively op-amp based solutions probably miss.
