Talking about AKG and cable. AKG uses those two 'metal rods' that go from one cup to the other as 'wire' to get the signal over to the other side.
Wonder why people spend a lot of money on an Aftermarket cable on AKG when the last 20 cm are a 'metal rod'?

Hello and thanks i did not know.
My rambling was about also nice headphones that have very low quality connections.
An example to follow instead in the picture.
Maybe i am exaggerating the issue but i think that more care on this aspect could make even mid price headphones sounding quite better.
I would prefer a good connection on each side like in the picture.
I had a old sennheiser built this way, but the quality of connections were ridiculous. What a pity because the sound was quite good indeed.
I think it was the HD565 Ovation ?
I am sure a little more care in this department would have been beneficial.
I think that a good quad mic cable could be an excellent headphone cable indeedhttp://www.cs1.net/pic/canare/L-4E6S_drawing.gif
and the price is almost nothing.
Actually i was thinking to some diy mods even ...
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,

You keep previewing each pic until you are ready to post all of them.

Hi and thanks
but i see only one optional image url
I should use upload image instead ?
By the way i made my point
Connections are usually badly executed.
It is a great pity because this ruins the potential of some of them.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
