I heard a radio article yesterday that said the Nobel Committee can't contact him and has given up.
Typical Dylan.
Follow Ups:
It's not that hard. But then, we ARE talking about the Nobel idiots.
For the neophyte, here's one route: Call the record company, and ask for the artist's management company phone number. Call the artist's management company. Done. Duh.
:)
I think Alfred Nobel is clawing his way out of the coffin to eat the brains out of the Nobel commission.
Not that they have any nutritional value, just to stop them. Nutritional value wouldn't matter to a zombie anyway.
When they gave it to Obama for things he did not do, they lost pretty much all their credibility. I commend Obama for not caving in to the pressure to attack Iran, but other than that he is nowhere near peace prize material. The light from peace prize material takes 13 minutes to reach him.
My ex-boss actually knows Zimmerman aka Dylan. But that means nothing, what did he do to deserve a prize ? Was it the song Hurricane ? Was it Positively Fourth Street ? Or perhaps Everything Is Broken.
Was anything as politically forthright as Niel Young - Ohio ? Or Grand Funk - Creepin' ?
Well JURB, why don't you tell us what you really think? Actually I pretty much agree with you but don't forget "Blowin in the Wind" and " Masters of War". Two great songs by the age of 75 don't make for a Nobel IMHO.
"Well JURB, why don't you tell us what you really think?"
I've gotten thrown off of forums for that.
Another thing bugs me is so much time spent by congress in renaming bridges and highways after people. Know what, the Nobel prize is getting down to that level.
And those people didn't even pay for it.
In the US, companies are buying sports arenas and also naming them. We got one named after the Progressive insurance company. What's next, Kotex Arena ? Depends Field ? Public money was used to build those things so the government selling them is called conversion under the law and is a felony if over something like a thousand bucks or whatever.
The state of Arizona, and I found this hard to believe thinking they are true conservatives there, actually sold the state house and now pay rent on it. Texas, though I am not sure it happened but they talked about selling turnpikes to a company in Germany.
In case people forgot, toll roads do get tax money. They are supposed to become non-toll roads in a number of years after the bonds issued are paid off. That never seems to happen though.
Temporary taxes to build a stadium (like in Cleveland) were supposed to expire.
But it seems once they find that people are willing to pay to use their pike, or a hundred bucks to go to a ball game they are not going to stop charging. As long as people are willing and able to pay.
I know the economic class of people on this site is quite a bit higher than average so y'all might have a different perspective. But it is coming to you. You have more to lose the more money you have.
If you have $10,000 in the bank and the dollar drops by 50 % you have effectively lost $5,000. If you have $100,000 in the bank you have lost $50,000. If you have $1,000,000 in the bank you have lost $500,000.
