Hey, thanks for the recommendation. This looks to be exactly what I'll need. I think mostly I will be running low wattage stuff, so a small transformer will probably get the job done.
We'll be in Hervey Bay, just north of Brisbane for 3 months.... Doing some long range planning.....Cut-Throat
Follow Ups:
What time of year?
Baby black marlin, tuna, golden trevally (GT x permit) wading the flats.
Let me know if you need a fishing buddy.
Cheers,
John K
And that is exactly why I chose Hervey Bay. -- The Fly Fishing..... I have already contacted the guide there and he helped me find some accommodations.
I plan very far in advance, so I get things right. Our plan is to be there from December 15, 2017 through March 15, 2018 (Your Winter). I also plan a 1-2 week trip to Exmouth in N.W. Australia. (Big Bonefish and Pacific Permit). If you are interested in fishing with me, shoot me a e-mail at kdbmeb@gmail.com
--- Understand this is over a year from now, but I have to plan far in advance to get get the proper things lined up. This coming winter (Dec 15th - March 15th) I am staying in the Bahamas again. (Great bonefishing and Permit). My 3rd winter there.

You've got the timing right for Hervey Bay. Late summer and small tides.
I fished with a great local guide Sid Boshammer - years ago. I'm sure he's still around, or his kids are.
I caught this golden trevally with his youngest son - 15 long, long years ago now ..........
Great place.
I will see if I can organise some work up that way when you're there :-)
Cheers,
John K
A Great Fish ! --- The guide I have been communicating with is

A billfish on a Fly on the Flats would be the Ultimate !

Herveybaysportfishing - Murray Smith looks like Da Man!
I have friends up there who run a whale watching business - a big big cat. He used Whalesong as the mother ship for some of the first scouting out of Northern Harvey Bay baby black flats fishing. It's just insane seeing fish like that in 2m over white sand!
Cheers,
John K
