I bought a pair of the Beoplay S3 for Christmas last year. They retailed at $800 a pair and I thought I was going to get what I paid for them on a buy one get one offer at a local retailer. I took them home and hooked them up to preamp via a wired connection to each channel (they have built in amplifier) and the sound was very good. I immediately took them upstairs to hook them up in my bedroom where they were going to stay. I usually have soft music playing at all times. I have bluetooth on my phone and I thought it was going to be easy to have both of them running stereo at the same time. They would not pair to each other at all as they were designed. I fought with them for about an hour before giving up. I then hooked a single one up with a mini jack to a squeezelite source that runs all the time and they would simply turn themselves off after a day or so. I recently revisited them now that I have more free time. I contacted support via their website and they wanted to know about my wireless router. I called them on the number on the email and a automated person said that no one was available and hung up on me. I then called back about 15 minutes later and he basically informed me that the way they are marketed is not the way they work. You need to pair them with the app every time that you want to listen to them as a stereo set. They also do not work with tv's as there is too long of a delay in the audio with bluetooth. The person also suggested running a wire to each of the wireless speakers as a work around for the TV audio problem. I guess in the modern world this is what we have to put up with when dealing with well established higher end brands?
Follow Ups:
B&O were always a brand that had an above-average number of issues, and I say this as a former reseller who serviced (almost*) everything we sold. Their cassette decks in particular were nightmares.
* Almost because there were a very few brands who insisted on all warranty and repair to go to the national repair facility. Broadly speaking we avoided such products but in some cases with Hi End gear the performance justified selling the line.
I've never seen B&O as a 'high end' brand.
It was always a lifestyle design-led brand that produced decent sound at twice the price.
I agree. I bought a Beomaster 3000 and Beocord 3000 in the '70s. Shortly afterwards, I moved to Tokyo. After a couple of years I had to replace several caps in the Beomaster 3000. The caps were garbage (Siemens?) and had an orange plastic casing. I dumped the Beomaster 3000 and bought a Sansui AU-707.
Then the Beocord started chewing tapes. Since B&O didn't have service support in Japan, I cheekily took it to Sansui for repair! The service man was gob-smacked at first but really helpful. He pointed out the design defects (massive flywheel, etc.) and a week later, my Beocord 3000 was working better than new. I promptly dumped it and bought a Nak 700.
Never bought B&O again.
For TV there is no workaround for the latency issue other than a direct wired setup. That's a Bluetooth thing. I saw the product on their site and they don't mention using it via Bluetooth with TV.
As to the other issues sorry to hear that. Are you sure you are running BT 4.0 with AptX? Have you tried their app to make configuration easier? Stereo pairing is possible. As to how long the connection stays active or if it does disconnect at some point I dont know. Seems like you need a Bluetooth guru.
Good luck.

I have Beoplay H6. While they sound fantastic, the quality and the comfort is nowhere near, the twice cheaper Sennheiser HD 598 SE, .
