can't tell about the woofers since they are obscured by that ridiculous "design" filigree.
Whoever would pay one million dollars for ANY loudspeaker must be crazy.
For that kind of money you could have concrete horns for the bass, or at least something like Vincent Brient's set up and have hundreds of thousands left over. Think of the Japanese audiophiles who have houses set aside for audio systems. I bet they did not spend the equivalent of $1,000,000. dollars,
Weight is your friend when it comes to loudspeaker cabinets but 1000 pounds each? Are they filled with lead? Lead is not known to make a very good sounding dampener. So many things wrong with this.
The whole thing is superhuman stupid.
They must have asked Dr. Evil how much they should charge and of course he said "one million dollars".

Sheet lead used to be a very popular, cheap and effective way of sound proofing rooms for studios and laboratories because the ability to block transmission of sound is directly linked to the mass of the separating wall.
These days lead sheet has largely been replaced by mass-loaded membranes due to H&S regulations.
