Klipsch was a brilliant engineer but his viewpoints are slanted towards his belief in high efficiency loudspeakers. A funny thing happened when I was setting up my Klipsch Heresys. The cable changes didn't make a great difference, in fact they were hard to evaluate. That was not my experience with other speaker systems. Blew my mind a bit.
I would imagine that Klipsch started using silver-plated internal wiring in their top-of-the-line speakers because silver oxidation is more conductive than copper corrosion is.
And for Klipsch at least, I think that the use of *Monster Cable* has more to do with marketing than it does with performance.
those classic Klipsch speakers do not sound bad w/ Monster Cable (oddly enough).
