Welcome to the 21st century!!

Anyone know? That is probably when they became "components" instead of just accessories.
Stereophile began having a 'Recommended components' listing for cables their staff 'liked'.
That is where one could see Kimber 8TC get a perennial recomendation..
But exactly WHEN..
Maybe mid 80's??
I just can't say for TAS.
I actually did read both from day one, mainly due to the local library having them.
The big thing I remember for TAS (aside from good writing and cover art) was the early on digital hate.. I do not really remember them rating cables at all. (May just be me though)
