Check your needle and make sue it is intact.
If you have the stock speakers: do they have a flimsy masonite back? What is the rms output of your amp? you may have enough power for an efficient modern speaker, and this will give you the biggest bang for your buck

any idea of the brand?
Hum, I guess I'm not specific on what I want cause I don't know myself if I need something more. I'm mostly unsure on what I should get.
So Let me start this over then.
So the system is working fine, I don't want to replace it.
I use the cassette desk, the NAD CD and I put a 8 track in there for fun.
The main reason I use it is for the turntable, All the input are occupied.
I would like to ADD a surround sound receiver, maybe a DAC or something I haven't tough about so I could plug the TV and PC on the system.
I own a beta/vhs/dvd/bluray but nothing plug then together, there all independent.
Also have the choice from stereo output or surround sound.
I have a huge collection of Digital songs, Own around 400 vinyl.
Rarely listen to online radio, am/fm/satelite.
I like Occasional music Video on cable.
Budget around 500$ I can go higher.
yes I can run cables in between all those things, But like I said the Stereo is full So I would like to ADD a digital source in there and Have more room to plug the different system together and minimize the duplication of systems.
humm I hope this makes more sense !
I don't know how to say this without sounding like a complete ass so I'll just say it. Your "vintage" system is an all in one box do it all consumer grade electronic. You say you are happy with it so why not just add some "Y" cables to make some additional inputs? Just don't turn on the input sources you are not using. Should work OK. You wont find anything on the market to replace that machine.
If you are looking for better sound, the advice to upgrade to better high efficiency speakers will be the biggest and cheapest improvement.
Yes I have both Original Speakers. I keep one of the description card and here's what it says.
3 Way Speaker AD 8120
Power Input 100 watt RMS MAX
Nominal Impedance 8 ohms
Hz Response 30-20000 Hz
Crossover Hz 1500hz, 4500 hz
Woofer 305 mm, Mid range 140 mm, Tweeter 65mm
Protection : Circuit breaker
The speaker have automatic circuit breaker to protect them and prevent distortion or clipping.
I live in an apartment now, so I can't really push the system volume that high. One of my Dad friends gave him a NAD CD Player 5425.
