Stereo Sound is a globally respected audio magazine, published in Japan. They also have Chinese and Korean editions available. I have always wondered why they have not published an English language edition. Anyone know why ?

An English language edition would remove all the glorious mystery.....
To pay for an English language edition the publishers would need to find English language advertisers. However product availabilty is not consistent across the world. Products available in Japan, Korea and China often have no availabilty elsewhere.
So its attraction as an advertising medium to distributors outside of the magazine's intended Far Eastern market may be limited. It may therefore require editorial specifically addressed to the English lanaguage market. However no audio magazine can serve all of the Anglosphere from an advertising viewpoint. So which market to pick? Well market size alone points to an American edition. However if you look at the circulation figures of established audio magazines in the USA e.g. Stereophile, they are tiny given the size of the population. I would think that an economic case for an English language version of Stereo Sound would be rather fragile.
the time /expense to interpret the original to the western left to right hand page reading
No?
Seriously fine and intensely produce magazine though

...probably not enough demand for a publication like that here.
Yes it is printed Roto Gravure Intaglio method -very expensive --Plus they'd use hi density Colour Inks (Mercury pitched and maybe non Soy) not the best for the environment but superb richness of the Files, as evident.

Back in my days at ARC & Magnepan, it was known as a quid-pro-quo mag. That was long ago, hopefully changed since then.
It was gorgeous then and appears to be unchanged in that respect.
