that suffers from the typical audiophile problem: No clean, neat woman would marry a man with a system that looks like that! Can't you get a better rack and hide all those cables??
Anyway, pretty nice, thanks for posting: You ought to do a list of your equipment and a link to some reviews, or maybe, just your own review, because it seems like a pretty unique gathering of equipment that many audiophiles would be interested in.
Thanks for sharing. How do you like the sound of the Merrill Audio Taranis? Did you have Bel Canto amps before or am I mistaken?
yes I had a Bel Canto REF500S amp before this.
The sound is much better in terms of bass with the Merrill Audio, bass is incredible. It is completely different sound compared to ICE, Merrill is Hypex Ncore based as opposed to the Bel Canto REF500S I had which was ICE Power.
Thanks. The ICE based Bel Canto M300 monos and W4S SX-500 monos that I owned both had deep bass but not very well defined.
but you didn't show us one piece of vintage gear.I know it will become vintage but what about the vintage now, like a 50 to 60 year old bottle of wine? I'll take that Merill Audio DAC. and the speakers..Very nice.

How about some Coors? And a Rocky Mountain high? Sound ok?
Me to.I get a headache when I drink. Ok on the Rocky Mountain High..I have a lot of the old John Denver.
Now here is some vintage.

But it can get close enough to OK that the brain settles down.
At least for a while.

Hi bullethead,
Thanks for the post.. Just a slightly OT question though.. Have you tried installing Daphile on Windows? How would you compare Daphile with let's say Jriver MC21 (audio only mode) if you have also tried it? Thanks a bunch..
Regards...
hi, Daphile is an operating system by itself, it doesn't work with windows.
I haven't used Windows for Audio in over a decade so I cannot compare.
Didn't even understand that second sentence.
Gonna go play a record, put my mind at ease...

Hey video's are a cool way to capture the atmosphere, i do it too although its usually outside. I don't recognize what you were playing though, what recording was that?
I made an outdoor recording of a large speaker last week, if you have face book, pop on some headphones and try it.
Oh, this was at 400 feet at a neighbor friendly volume using a canon hfr300, in normal use, it can produce a clean 108dBa spl at 800 feet

I'm not on Facebook however, but it is cool stuff to get the atmosphere I know what you mean, that was recorded with an ipad however, nothing fancy....
that track is something I made, called "graduation", you can check it out I'll put a link to my website below: I don't put anyone else's music on when I do these things due to copyright.
