The last posting on the recent tendency of the AA website to disappear was on 29th. However the problem continues although it may be less notable to US inmates as it now seems mainly to occur during your night hours (and my day time in the UK).
Today I was able to post during the middle of the night in the UK (hello insomnia) but the website was gone by breakfast and has only just come back into existence (guessing between , say, 14:00 and 17:00 local time).
Is there any progress on making it more stable?

one of the things I really appreciate about AA is its lithe and fast (if perhaps charmingly old-fashioned) interface. AA seems to suffer MUCH less from the woes that plague boards running on trendier platforms such as vBulletin (which, by most accounts, has jumped the shark any way) and Vanilla and Xenofro. As a consequence, this week's glitches are far less enervating than those experienced (much more frequently!) at other fora.Plus, there's no "like" button! :-)
I know that the level of fast and consistent performance here comes at a price* (human and financial) and now seems like a good time to call out the management & staff for what's still a high quality service to the hobby.
A heartfelt thank you.

* And, in the interest of full and complete disclosure, I am STILL grotesquely remiss in supporting the cause! I will strive to rectify that this week so that my comments don't become hypocritical!

I forgot there was another, umm... "skin".
I stay logged in all the time, so I only see 'classic'.
D'oh :-P

And classic view is great.

Welcome back. I missed you (sob!).
It's baffling and I'm beginning to think it may be a hardware problem. I'm in the process of moving the site over to one of our backup servers. In the meantime, I've set up some monitoring to restart the web server which seems to hang whenever I'm not watching. The last two days, it appeared to die about midnight my time.

AA was down for everyone this weekend. Must have been too much booze in the Memorial Day rum cake.
Cool. Yes and then the Allman Brothers did a 36 pseudo minute cover that took two sides of vinyl.

... go this way and that?
Mountain and AA are merely words that we use to describe the conditioned phenomena in front of us. Neither phenomena is a fixed nor permanent entity that exists in and of itself.
Especially during unscheduled down-time!

I enjoy his sometimes eccentric viewpoints, but not so much his self-destructive nature.
He's an Asylum "Character", and his posts remind me of listening to George Noory's Coast to Coast AM on those nights when sleep eludes me.
thanks for the parallel to Noory.
I am honored, I can't stay up until 4am to listen to him most days, and I am not becoming a member of their web site just to hear past episodes. They are very protective of their shows and copyright, you'll find almost none archived on youtube or anywhere else for free without a fee.
I was actually thinking of you more as a caller, rather than Noory. But don't take that as a condemnation, and I like that you see yourself as George.
Good for you!
Rod's working on it. It's been, and momentarily remains, a challenge. He'll figure it out.

from an iPhone/iPad. Save to computer, fix if necessary then post.
That's what I always do..I take the photos with my I-phone 6 and then post them to my Imac and then post them on AA..It always used to work just fine and it works fine on DIY audio.

All I an say is I hope he had a parachute on his chest.
Wesley May had a harder time than usual simply because he was carrying 30 pounds of dead weight on his back in the form of fuel.
That required a bit more strength than it usually took to pull himself up onto the Jenny's lower wing. But in the end, he managed it.
