Netflix is current airing Tom Petty "Running Down A Dream".
I watched the entire thing last night - Wow! I always knew he was great, but it's always interesting to get a behind the scenes view.
I'm sad for what is coming up (Not Fu€&% Much) behind the Giants of rock & roll.
Anyhoo; It's a well done and entertaining rockumentary.
Meat; It's the right thing to do. Romans 14:2
Follow Ups:
I hate to admit it but he was an acquired taste for me. Didn't appreciate him much at all at first. Then, one day, all of his music (and the savvy playing of the Heartbreakers) just occurred to me... and I realized all at once how awesome these guys are.
I think his Greatest Hits album of 1993 really showcased their work very well and was a fantastic album to hit the highway with, which is how I listened to that album many many times on the way up to job sites.
And then came "Wildflowers"...wow.
Cheers,
Presto
Big fan of TP's early albums. I take a period copy of YGGI to shows. A great way to compare how my table sounds against the best. Much to the delight of the exhibitor(I think in their mind-TP.? I've heard those songs too many times!) a fantastic sounding record.
That documentary is on my watch list. Thanks. Saw TP in 77.
Thanks! for sharing.
There is a new Mudcrutch disc as well.
It'll be interesting to see if Petty keeps Mudcrutch going. Both albums thus far, IMO, have been excellent.
Thanks for the heads-up on the doc.
...one of the few music DVDs I own.
