That's one of my all-time favorite albums of any genre. Mustaine, Friedman, Menza and Ellefson put out a super-tight pummelling rhythm!!!
Now that's Metal! He was a great one on those early MegaDeth albums.

They sounded more like Metallica in the later years..I was never into death metal and about the closet I got to it was listening to Motor Head.
He was a talented drummer tho.. RIP.

I have to be honest I never got into thrash metal. And I never heard of Nick Menza until now. But reading up on him on wiki I learned at the age of two his dad sat him on Jack DeJohnette's drum set (my 2nd best drummer ever)during a break on one of Jack's performances.
Ditto for his dad a respected jazz sax player.I guess you learned something interesting everyday.
