I played with bi-wiring a bit but didn't hear any benefit. On the other hand, bi-amping can make a difference but in the end, I found it to be more of a hassle than it was worth for me. I bought a better amp rather than trying to cobble to together better sound with two lesser amps.
I linked to an interesting bi-wiring analysis. Skip to the last paragraph or two on the very last page if you want to skip all the electrical theory and math.

Are you serious?! And the Board of Regents accepts this?!
There are basic circuit diagrams, equations, and notional impedance plots on the following pages. Analyzing the effect of bi-wiring with a lumped impedance model is pretty basic stuff.
When I was an undergraduate EE student, several of my instructors provided hand-written class notes. I didn't think that was unprofessional. Their time was better spent teaching than typesetting.
