I'm a bug fan of the big guy that makes them, having a whole room ful of DefTech, but I've never heard the Tritons. I love the way he keeps the sock going. If I want to spend 4 figures on wood finish, I'll make some grills and veneer the things...
Follow Ups:
I've heard them twice. Once driven by Parasound A21 with a JC2 preamp. I think the CD player was a Halo model too. They sounded wonderful. Open and airy but with lots of heft. Second time not so awesome. They were driven by even more expensive McIntosh gear and sounded excessively bright. This was toob amplification too. Go figure. Both times it was the Triton 7.
Revealed an issue with McIntosh?? lol ::runs away laughing::
