My favorite all-time record store was Peaches in St. Louis and Minneapolis.
I miss going to the record store.

I think in the 90's and after the staff was full of poseurs hired first for their look. Before that it had more music people that knew something and helped people.

Which one? The Tower down on Mercer? I went there for years - great place with a great staff.
The staff in the classical section was really awful.

Wow. I did not have that experience. My father was also a long-time shopper there and got along swimmingly with the Classical staff.
