Thanks for the report , BTW , Did you have a favorite or is it a 5 way tie ... :)

I really couldn't pick a favorite. There were a lot of good sounding products.
I will set the mega dollar stuff aside and mention a couple things that really impressed me.
* With that being said, I still have to mention Thrax's, Lyra, stand mount, truly amazing in it's ability to extend frequency response and sound good. Probably the best stand mount I've ever heard.
* I loved the Audio Alchemy, before even asking price or other questions, then, when I heard someone can buy that level of sound for what it costs, I was amazed.
* I checked Audiophile Direct and their website isn't showing anything but a place to be emailed when it comes up. However, the Orum Cantus speaker at $2500.00 a pair is a killer value. They sounded to my ears better than many others costing a lot more.
* The Sonist I thought was cool, not only did it sound good, it offered an alternative to horns and single driver for SET users.
I was really like a kid in a candy store :). I have to hand to those companies like Audio Alchemy who can bring great sound at an obtainable price. Some may argue my definition of "obtainable", but considering you can pay 2 or 3k for an A/V receiver these days is where I'm coming from.
Did i read correctly , stereophile is reporting 4K for the new SL1200 .... !!!!
at least in my opinion.
From the little I've been able to read about it it is significantly upgraded from the no-longer offered SL-1200 series. But the naming causes confusion. I assume Technics wanted to take advantage of the popularity the SL-1200s generated but it reads like this new model could have more correctly been named the SP-XX. With the new motor, following the SP-10 and 15 naming might be more appropriate.
