Get yours, well if so inclined ..... :)
Follow Ups:
The whole point of doing the disc was to help support the artists, many of whom are local. The royalty structure truly puts the artists first, unlike most record deals.
The recordings are all of very high quality, and I think Gus did a terrific job mastering the disc.
All I can say about many of the comments above is, you can't please everyone. Any attempt to do so will end in failure, and condemning something because you don't care for that style of music is truly small-minded and picayune.
And the last time I checked, there aren't many audio companies out there who are actually putting their money where their mouth is, when it comes to supporting musicians.

What Bill said ....... :)
My best reference recordings are the ones which I recorded myself.
I know the sound of the room, I know the sound of the instruments, I know the microphone setup, I know the recording equipment chain.
When I listen to someone else's work, I know NONE of that.
:)
I bought them early this morning in DSD and 24/176 PCM. Only listened to the Elephant Revival recording and compared to the DSD of same I already owned. I prefer my original copy purchased from Acoustic Sounds. I do not like what was done to this recording. After being disappointed by the one track, I did not listen to any of the others.
Especially disappointed because Gus Skinas helped create one of my favorite recordings, a needle drop of Ahamd Jamal's Alhambra. I had great expectations.

I love the music of Dmitri Shostakovich
It's a little pricey, but I believe that Paul and PS Audio's hearts are in the right place.
They work hard to advance all things audio wise. I own a P300, it was a brilliant concept. There Directstream dac is upgradable, they are working on a transport that will output DSD from Sacds to their dac through a HDMI cable.
While their gear isn't cheap it is real value. If I could afford it, I would buy both of their tranports [the current PMT and the new one] and a Directstream.
I think this music project is a labor of love, not just a profit maker. You may not care for the content, but a least recognize what they are trying to accomplish. And if you have suggestions for their next disc, I'm sure Paul would be happy to hear from you.
Why do audiophile makers and labels produce cd's with crap music??
What you consider crap, may be anothers favorites.
My tastes are quite eclectic. ECM I believe would be considered an audiophile label, I don't consider Charles Lloyd crap music, or Clifford Jordan's releases on Mapleshade to be crap. Acoustic Sounds has released some very good blues albums, that they happen to be well recorded, is just a bonus.
I find making blanket statements, is foolish. I also find some audiophiles need to crap on anything they don't like. I have never understood that. In the online magazine, Kessler felt the need to insult Gram Parsons music to make a case for the greatness of Michael Nesmith.
Diana Krall's first couple of releases are quite good, as are some of the Patricia Barber releases. I have the original releases, not the remastered versions.
To me rather than rip on music, why not make suggestions "if you like A, then check out B". Years ago I quit reading the music forums here, because of the negativity.
It's like the poster who felt the need to tell us he doesn't like folk music. Who cares, are we supposed to be impressed by his high brow tastes? I wasn't impressed.
What I am referring as audiophile labels are mostly music issued and produced by audio equipment manufacturers, ECM is definitely not an audiophile label,
The fact that Diana Krall and Patricia Barber made good sounding albulms
was just cd's that some audiophiles appreciated.
The best sounding music I have was never issued by audiophile labels
I actually do not own anything produced by an audiophile label but I do own some ECM's
If you were a "good" artist with "good" music you'd already be signed to a big non-audiophile label and wouldn't need (and wouldn't be permitted to record for) the mom & pop niche labels. So you get sitar music with chimes to test your tweeters. Would anyone actually own a Patricia Barber or Jacintha record if they were ordinary OJC transfers from the late '80s?
It's a production. Adding to the difficulties involved is the fact that people can't always agree on what "crappy music" is or is not.
The technical prowess of PS Audio has been demonstrated, we do have that.
Bingo,After seeing what some post up as their favorite albums , i have to agree, there is far more consensus in CLass-D vs the rest, or SS vs Toobs, or Analog vs Digital....
LOL :)PS: For the recordp and IMO, the music ( most) was fine and represents well, great addition to the library, effort Noted ...

Proud of myself!

The Fiona Joy piece was nice - kinda like Liz Story.
I wish her content - actually all of Windham Hill was available in hi-rez.
From the samplings nothing very dynamic. That limits the usefulness of this as a test CD for me.

How are you determining that, from your system or desktop ..?
Thanks! for sharing- A. Wayne
anyone know if this can be bought over the phone?
Nothing I would listen to more than once, or not at all...
Good Sound, but it's covering Blue Coast Ground.
And I don't like people who do.

I don't like people who, don't like people who, like Folk Music.
I don't like people who, don't like people who don't like people who, like Folk Music.
I don't like people who, don't like people who don't like people who don't like people who, like Folk Music.
I get it, sorta kinda.
those words set to music might make a good folk music song.

When was it discovered?
Why wasn't I notified?
which could be improved/augmented from minor to major with a borrowed triad progressing to a dominant, harmonious existence.
They're on the page, or you know, you can always fake it!

I have Diminished Capacity.
Thanks to Dan White's Lawyer...
I like you.
So You suck.
That is a bizarre statement. You must be a barrel of laughs at a party.
You have no sense of humor.
And I'll bet you like folk music.

Ha, so that was a joke? Ok, it was over my head..must be that mid western humor. Then apologies.
I actually love "folk" music, but the definition is oddly hard to pin down for some listeners.
to Frisell.
Ron Miles is fantastic and I have one of his recordings.
He alone will not get me to bother with the PSA CD though,
especially combined with their now truly irritating website.

Which we all should have, for those times when we want to show off our systems to those without musical taste.
listened to all the way through.
Almost.
Unfortunately, the great recording quality was NOT enough to keep me awake
since I already know how great my system can sound.

The Singer/Songwriters and their various problems or solutions
just aren't for me.
I love James Taylor and Paul Simon , Nancy Griffeths.
That takes care of that part of my brain!
Should get some Dylan too.
should. Dylan is still incredible.
The old stuff has legs and been listening a LOT to "World Gone Wrong" lately.
Fantastic.
There are plenty of great, classic singer/songwriters/folksingers, et al.
Personally I don't need a CD full of newer ones that I am not familiar with.
Doesn't matter how good it/they sound.
I KNOW what an acoustic guitar sounds like,,,
