Hey Bob,
I would recommend it. I had two amp stands, two different racks and not enough room and just moved the reel to reel in or out depending upon mood, ipa intake, etc. Got to be a real pain in the ass.
I wanted a rack from Timbernation as he does beautiful work. He had a tiger maple rack (coincidentally the finish of my speakers) that I just loved. However, the shipping would have killed me. I have a neighbor that has been a hobbyist woodworker and he set me up. He declined any payment (other than a nice dinner for him and his wife). I love having neat neighbors so we went to the Hardware specialty store and I bought maple and walnut and the neighbor did his thing. I know have all my components on one rack (well not the mini disc player but whatever).
Hope you get what your after and I am delighted and stoked with mine. So much I am going down and listen for a few hours here tonight.
Have Fun!
