The Arizona Audio Video Club will feature a new conrad-johnson Classic 60 SE poweramp* and my much-improved MET1, 6-channel, tubed preamp at its regular monthly meeting on January 27th, 7PM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9424 N. 7th Ave., Phoenix. Source equipment will be my Oppo '105 disc player and another member's memory-card player plus excellent powerconditioning and all cable, and my much-improved Audio Physic Avanti III speakers which are now biamplified. Guests are welcome, and refreshments will be available.Come hear how good this 60WPC stereo amp sounds driving my 87dB-(in)sensitive speakers in a fairly large room.
Pls e-mail me at jeffreybehr(at)cox(dot)net for details.

Happy New Year! Jeffreybehr-
That is an excellent power amp. I have heard it mated w/ a CJ ET-3SE pre-amp. Your MET-1 will be very nice as well.
Have you auditioned the new CJ integrated amp?
The 60SE is a very nice amp.....Lew Johnson is a class act too. A while back I bought a Classic 2SE and about a week into it I had a bad tube. I sent support an e-mail to request a replacement tube as I couldn't find one locally. This was on a Friday night, I didn't expect a response until Monday. I was surprised to receive a reply Saturday from Lew himself thanking me for choosing the Classic and that he would get a new tube out right away....That preamp is the best investment I've ever made in audio, it is such a great sounding preamp. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Conrad Johnson product, in fact the reason I narrowed it down to the Classic is because I owned a McCormack RLD 1 pre and DNA 125 amp which were great pieces that were built by c-j.
Much Thanks! Steve.
My 1st taste of C-J was the 350 Premier power amp mated w/ the Act2 Series2 pre-amp and I can tell you that, that pairing is still my reference today (until I can audition an ART3).
No one stays in this business unless they are doing the right things.
IME, CJ is doing it right!
