I like using the long wall which also facilitates a larger stereo image than using the short wall. Glass only on one side will pose less of an issue nearfield as well. Most people will tell you to use the short wall. After setting up over 100 rooms personally for myself and clients I prefer the long wall almost always, there are always exceptions.....

I've always preferred the long wall. I've found the short wall to often get the speakers too close to the corners and over accentuate the bass.
