That 'splains it, but not any reports/pics/views posted on AA about the high end audio CES exhibits.
Thanks!

OK. Who do you think would do it? The official attendees are industry and press. The former rarely post except on their own web pages. The latter post in their publications or on their official web pages.
That said, I see lots of CES reports all over the web but mostly on sponsored pages.
Interestingly, CES used to be a place where "deals" were made, dealers and manufacturers would hook up etc. Then after the internet matured it became a press show.
Years ago a friend of mine, a consumer electronics reporter, said he was treated with utter disdain by exhibitors..he said he had never run into a nastier bunch..fast forward, they were practically tackling him when they saw his press badge and dragging him into their rooms. It is now a press show, not doubt about it.
A new product featured on a Stereophile's website after the show or on some blog post with pictures literally will expose that product to 1000x more eyes than any attendees. And the beauty of internet links is that they can be shared ad nauseum.
Kal;
I have been to CES and I can assure you that I am not a manufacturer or a credentialed member of the press. I do on occasion help (I am compensated) a friend who is a custom installer when he has a big job that requires moving walls, routing dedicated lines, installation of in-wall speakers and subs etc....
I linked a post from my 2013 visit to Las Vegas where I attended "The Show", as well as the high end displays at the Venetian.
The highlight of CES, at least for me, was attending a private party/concert put on by Klipsch at Planet Hollywood. I would guess that there were between 500 and 900 people there getting their drunk on, on Klipsch's dime. That's right, all you can drink, On the house! That was a long flight home the next day!
Say what you will about Klipsch, they KNOW how to throw a party. I doubt that Lamm, D'Agistino, Wilson, Magico, YG Acoustics, Audio Note etc, would even if they could (they can't) throw a bash like that.
By the way; The only form of ID required by security is/was a drivers license and a business card. One can print 100 business cards from "Constant Contact" for $10 - Not a real issue. Anyhoo, I didn't spot any bad ass bouncer types seriously checking credentials at either the Flamingo OR The Venetian.
I am with Musetap on this as I look forward to the everyman reports much more so than the credentialed press.
Meat; It's the right thing to do. Romans 14:2
attended and posted?
Though mostly that may have been THE SHOW attendees, official or unofficial.

is not representative of show reports. However, I grant you that there have been reports in the past but they have not been as rich a resource as what is posted elsewhere. Why not look more widely?
