Hey! You kind passed over the heart cath. You ok?

I'm ok. I was actually surprised that they had to put in a stent. I really thought it was stress and started not to even go for the cath. I had gone to the ER last March with a heaviness in my chest. They ran a stress test and other tests and everything was ok. I had gone once before about 5 yrs previous to that and it was the same thing. So I figured this time was just a rerun
I had an incident while I was installing my hardwood flooring in my LR. The pain was right in my sternum as if someone had hit me with a sledgehammer. When it happened again the next day , I figured I'd probably better go to the Dr. He said that if I hadn't had that stress test in March he'd have sent me straight to the ER. So I saw a cardiologist who recommended a heart Cath.
After I finished my floor installation, I made arrangements for the heart cath. (OK, so I'm crazy) I really felt like it was a waste of my time and $$$. So anyway I went. They did the procedure and found 2 blockages.(100% & 90 %) For the 100%, "my body" had already done a "natural" bypass and the Dr put a stent in the other.
FTR, I would not advise anyone else to act as I did. Heart attacks are killers and they often come with little or no warning. However in my case there are circumstances which somewhat justify my actions.
First, there in no heart disease in my family. Second, I had been tested recently. Third, I only had this incident happen a couple of times. I had no incidents for about 3-4 weeks prior to the heart cath. And finally, I have a guardian angel who I trust to override my ignorance and save me from me. He does...But I'm sure I have worked him pretty hard throughout this life.

Get well soon- it will take a few weeks to recover from your procedure.
Double this time if any stent(s) were placed.
Thanks. I had one stent. I don't feel bad. Not ready to run a marathon yet. But not in bed either. I'll try to get pictures up soon.
