make up for the clueless 20 something pierced and tattooed staff that seems to run the So Cal locations. The concept was kinda unique over a decade ago.A hit or miss experience going to one these days, I would imagine. Far cry from the original Denver concept now.
Havent been to one in years. Are they still playing silly ex Disney star, Beiberish nonsense?

"make up for the clueless 20 something pierced and tattooed staff that seems to run the So Cal locations."The first time I was in a Chipotle was the downtown Los Angeles location, about three blocks from the Sheraton (where I will never stay again). The staff was great. Efficient, courteous, informed. Having never been to one before, figuring out the menu was a bit of a puzzle. So I asked one of the LAPD officers in front of me about how to order. He threw me to the floor and - kidding! He'd obviously been there several times, 'cause he had the whole menu/ordering thingy down. I don't remember hearing any background music - just a lot of noise. Took my food back to the hotel, and it was great.
Next time, in Texas, I kinda had an idea of how to order and again the staff had it together. Placed my order and took it outside to the patio. Again, it was great, and again, all I heard was typical restaurant noise. Didn't even notice music.

In fact I wanted to stay longer.
"Starbucks" music I call it..... A lot of it is quite good, well above the "mainstream pop" fare.
