Been there a few times and I see the dilemma. I don't remember a bad review of the Orions either. I came really close to building the Orions a few years back but was still working and just never found the time. I like the way yours are trimmed out especially the grills across the bass bins.

I enjoy building and sure wish I had enough understanding of design work to undertake that end of it. Something in the back of my mind says that I might be missing something by not trying horns yet. Some folks are just adamantly opposed to it.
Go for it I say... Why some might be opposed is because even a folded horn with all hard edges is a bear to get right. To say nothing about making a beautiful wooden horn that has a bunch of soft curves. Even with power tools it seems like a Herculean task just to build it much less design it.But I say if you have the time, energy and skill...why the heck not?
