Sorry, that's a San Diego icon, Tony Gwynn was Mr. Baseball and played for the Padres. Dick was making a joke and I'll admit that I read it the same way at first glance and it didn't make sense because I knew Gwynn passed away a couple years ago, note the w versus l.
My condolences to Tony Glynn's loved ones.
