Not that odd. My line stage uses relays to switch inputs. No power, no relays engaged = open load. If that is the case, simply take a cheap RCA plug and solder a 10K or so resistor across it and plug into the output of the phono pre.

Actually mine does it as well ... but it also switches between three inputs making it a tad odd I would think (Aesthetix Rhea).

Yeah, mine is like that too. So I will make up some 10K load plugs.
