I'm using my iPad Air whatever with all the latest iOS and Chrome to view the boards here and some of the boards do not display full screen without zooming. Holding the iPad in landscap orientation, all boards display full screen except:
Amp/Pre which uses one-half the width of the screen
Tubes which uses one-fourth the width of the screen
Iso which uses three-fourths the width of the screen
Prop Head which uses two-thirds the width of the screen
This little PITA has been discussed before as I recall around the time of the last big sever/software upgrade here. I had the issue then too, but the problem eventually went away. Well, it's back again. I don't know that anybody was able to ID the cause issue back then, wondering if anyone else has the problem and if a fix was ever identified.
Same thing happens with Safari and Ghostery.
TIA for any replies.

I spent countless hours trying to figure out why only Macs would not remember links. After several weeks or was it months of working on it off and on, I found the problem and it was a totally ridiculous bug that Apple added to their browser.
So, we made a decision not to chase iPad and iPhone bugs that will be difficult and time consuming to solve. Instead, we've been working on new HTML5 compatible CSS and html coding that will be totally responsive for all devices, in theory anyway. We believe that this face lift will solve more than just one problem and bring the codebase into more flexible system for the future.
If I don't get distracted by other issues, I'm hoping to reveal a beta version for message display and new message posting. Once we get that look and the menus nailed down, then I'll start cutting in the code across the rest of the apps and pages.
However, these changes won't completely solve your issue. We'll need to do something different using Javascript and by processing the forum index pages in real time to completely solve your problem with changing sizes. The problem is threads where a couple or more posters back and forth some 70 times or more creating a long thread that goes off the right side of the page. A normal browser shows a scroll bar at the bottom of page to scroll over if you're interested in the long dialogue. iPads handle this by shrinking the font size and the page making a simple fix not possible.
For example, the behavior in Amp/Preamp is caused by the thread below:

Thanks for the explanation. The long threads thing explains the intermittency and variability of it I think. Gotta love Apple, no? Considering the work you're looking at for our future here, zooming ain't no-thing at all.

Me, too, on my ipad.
It happens on my Kindle Fire too. This seems to happen every few months, with a different asylum, though some seem more prone than others.

I don't have an idea why nor do I own or use anything but a PC but see if you can make a correlation between the ad(s) that show on the given page. Even if you are paying member and log in and use things like Ghostery and a proxy server like me there are still at least AA site ads and perhaps different ones affect your issue. Just a thought.

FWIW, I am a contributor and I am signed in. If I look at General I get two small Trader feature adds and that's it. When I switch to other forums I get the same Trader features, but on the offending boards they are proportionally miniaturized along the same scheme as I mentioned in the OP. So far I can see no correlation between adds and display size.Edit: forgot to mention that when using a PC I do not have the issue either.
Another edit: individual posts within threads on the offenders display full screen. It's the main page for each of the offenders that's jacked up. I am using Classic view. I'll experiment with other views later and see what happens.

Okay, the Mrs. Is taking longer to get ready to leave than she said. So I switched to Threads view and no problem. Whatever it is seems to be related to the Classic view.
