Hi, a newbie here on the site and wanted to introduce myself.
I am a self confused audio junkie. Have been so since high school when I saved my money working as a dishwasher at a fancy supper club on the mississippi to buy home audio equipment. Sold audio at Best buy and Montgomery Wards Electric ave dept back in the day.
Built a sound proofed home theater in 2000 at the previous house I owned, but really went crazy when I found audiogon in 2004 and upgraded to a much better system and discovered the world of tweaking and how much it improves things.
Thats where a site like these will feed the addiction to learn more, meet guys with my same addiction and continue to reach the quest of listening to live music in our audio rooms
Now, in my new house, my home theater system is in the great room and I have a dedicated two channel room now. The two channel room is used almost daily and the home theater system maybe once a month.

Appreciate the welcomes.
I am trying to get use to this site as I a use to audiogons most recent post at the bottom of the page and not the top.
I think the way to learn more is being part of sites like this. Like minded audio geeks. I will check out the inmate thing.
I get the most recent posts below on this site also? I wonder why that is?
Welcome! Freemand.

Hi freemand. Congrats on "graduating" from home theatre to 2ch listening. That was my path. I still have the HT as well and use it about as much as you. I just needed to wait till a room opened up to accomodate the 2ch setup.
I would encourage you to list your systems on the Inmate Systems pages. This will be helpful to responders if you post questions looking for advice.
don't take anything here personally and you'll be fine. Most folks here try hard to help, a few don't (they're just trolls). Welcome!

Wow, that was fast responses as I just posted this thread! Tells me this is the site that everyones at as it takes a half a day on audiogon to get a response.
Nice system thetubeguy. Those are some serious sized speakers. You build those?
Thanks for all the kind regards and yes, Montgomery Ward probably dates me!
No Freemand I didn't build those. I had them built for me by Jeff Carder of Cardersound. Sadly Cardersound has gone out of business. My speakers are called Sachikos an open source design from Frugal Horn that have been replaced by the new Kirishimas which are actually quite similar from what I can see. You can get to it at the link below called Frugal Horn at the bottom of this post! And thank you very much for the complement about my system. Barring winning the Lotto it's my last and best audio system ever!
I'm listening to: Spartacus by Triumvirate
