While American Pie was never one of my favorite songs, I enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Thought you might also.
Follow Ups:
Hard to imagine am radio w/o this epic song.
"American Pie" was one of the most overplayed songs ever overplayed on AM Rock radio back in the 1970's. America please forgive me for I cannot help but despise that song.

I kinda heard some of the symbols, now I have all of them.Almost as affecting for me as 'I was only 19.'

I remember this well growing up, played one whole summer...I never did really like it either...but damn I STILL know the whole song...
Kind of like slow dancing to Stairway to Heaven...Do you stop slow dancing when the song picks up??? These questions and many more I do not have the answers too...
Thanks

It's actually "Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."
Sorry, my OCD is kickin' in again [g]....
PS: I've heard the punchline to a joke as: Two obese Patties, special Ross, Bettischee picking bunions on a Sesame Street bus....

You can edit the text of your post but not the Subject. But no matter, we know what you meant...

I have been in the past not able to edit on General Board. Since you are on a roll and my self-esteem is at an all time low...;)
How do you edit on the General Board? The edit button does not come under my moniker...
Thanks again
Mark
