Just for the record, wanted to say how much I enjoy the dspeaker product--it really flattens out and simplifies the bass/sub woofer area.
My problem is that (as another person here has said) it's customer service sucks. I had been having problems with the unit and finally traced it to the toggle switch being the problem. I now leave the toggle switch on all the time and unplug the unit from the back, a minor bother.
When I wrote to dpeaker, they got back suggesting it was something other than their product. When I clarified that it was the switch they stopped writing. So, just for the record, love the product, very unprofessional service. The unit I have is one of the earlier ones, now discontinued, not the more expensive higher end units. Thanks.

My service experience was quite different with the Anti-Mode 2.0 Dual Core unit.
I blew out the software doing an upgrade to the latest version, and since the unit was an early version, it was not easy to reload it. The folks in Finland probably spent 8 hours over the course of 3 weeks (including mail time) getting me back up to speed. They helped patiently with diagnostics, sending me new files with the latest upgrades, explaining instructions on how to load it, and they mailed me a special adapter at no expense so I could successfully reload the software. Response were always within 1/2 to 4 hours depending on the time difference including some weekends (I wonder when Pasi sleeps).
Overall, I was quite impressed.
Maybe you should have taken it up with the US dealer or Tim Ryan the US distributor who is also very helpful.
Good to hear somebody had a good experience. I suspect that because I have an earlier (cheaper) model, they just don't want to deal with it. Would be nice if they said so.
I have been using the DSpeaker Antimode 8033 for a couple of years now and leave it on all the time. Why do you feel the need to turn it off? It's not like the power drain will run up your electric bill.

The website shows the unit in only a small pic. I see either a small mic jack (1/8th inch?) or a hole in the front panel where an internally mounted mic picks up sound. If a device like this is going to room correct it needs to hear the sound in the room which to me means a mic. The site really doesn't talk of this. So as a user what do you do to let the unit "hear" the sound in your room?
Is you mic calibrated? If so how? Thanks in advance.
Never mind I found a download of the manual. Sorry
E
TSorry the connections list mentions a mic jack

Yeah, I believe it's an 1/8th inch jack for the (supplied) mic. The unit plays a sweep through your system then calibrates the room/bass. Once it's set it's done.
Cool, thanks. I found the owners manual download and it answered all those questions. I'd love to play with one.

I had the antimode 2.0 , it worked quite well, but there are more potent solutions in terms of hardware and software at similar prices or cheaper
Dirac , Acourate or the MiniDSP hardware packages that run either and then there are all the MiniDSP products etc...
I use Dirac with the minidsp DDDRC-22 ..my path is SB touch, minidsp, Devialet , Giya G1's... Its $899
a miniDSP 4x10 hd is the schnizz too.. very flexible

Neato. Would love to mess with one someday. Will save some $$ for one. Thank you for the alternatives you gave.
