I put in an order, do you usually get a tracking #? if anyone has any experience let me know.
I'm an impatient bastard.
Follow Ups:
When did you place the order? Yesterday? A week ago? Two weeks ago? This morning?
thanks, I got a tracking # just to follow up, will let y'all know what I think after some time.
Thanks.
I ordered online and then called and asked for a tracking number a couple days later. I had the SX-500 monoblocks for a while but I still prefer vacuum tubes including the Rogue Cronus Magnum with KT120s.
My attempt at using cool running Class D in place of vacuum tubes. That test lasted a couple months before I came back to tubes.
That test lasted a couple months before I came back to tubes.
Big surprise. :)
It's hard enough finding a good SS amp that is at least comparable to a decent tube setup. Now try doing that with Class D SS! Yeah, no surprise, just wishful thinking.
Kuribo (The Asylum Patron Saint for Class D) hasn't latched onto this thread and sung the praises of the switchers.
That's like having a speaker rec thread without RGA bringing up Audio Note. :)
I've been using ICE power for a many years. My Bel Canto REF500s sound fantastic and they are able to power my Gallo's with little effort.I don't think I'll go back to anything else.
I hear you on the tubes, they sound marvelous. I was the other way around, I was Class D, tried tubes then went back to Class D.

the combo has been ringing my bell at the proper level for a few years now, taken
up a notch or three with the recent addition of the EVS 100S.

I've ordered from W4S on-line but I don't like impatient bastards.
Are you sure they weren't delivered to your door already and you just weren't home to sign for them?
How can you be sure they weren't stolen from your porch?
Or maybe the deliverer is an audiophile himself?
You've got to get to the bottom of this now.
Sleep tight.
you like them?
I have been using Bel Canto, also I appreciate W4S is USA based as well.
Actually, I love them.Tremendous levels of musicality. Now externally I had to make some alterations to greatly improve the W4S but even right outta' the box they were signing a good song.
Today, with the tremendous gains I've been able to attain in a unique way, these $2400 a pair amps make my previous $8k BMC C1 int. amp sound like a $50 receiver from BestBuy.
And I'm not trying to downplay the BMC C1, it's a fine amp as I think others will substantiate.
The W4S SX-1000's have tremendous potential and I'm confident I've been able to extract the very most from them.
I only wish EJ would spruce up the unattractive finish on their products.

that's good to hear.
I just ordered...
just wondering. their FAQ doesn't say anything and I was drunk when I ordered.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. :)
So what did you order from them?
I ordered their modified Sonos connect. I've been using a Sonos for over a year now streaming FLAC services, I like the sound but after I've read some reviews of their modified design I couldn't resist.
I will most likely order their DSD DAC too if all goes well. Assuming I am still employed and get my bonus I've been breaking my back for :)
From my recent experience with the performance of their products, I think you'll get much musical enjoyment from it.
Let me know what you think after it's burned in a bit.
cool. will do.
i posted in PC Audio my thoughts, I was thinking this is the new CD, but I didn't post in Digital, however I am following up, very nice ;)
