The demise and doom of FM radio is inevitable. The audio quality of a typical FM radio broadcast is no better than Pandora, Spotify, or I Heart Radio - mp3 & mp4.
Why should I be forced to sit through commercials, or worse - a live remote from a pair of ass clown DJ's at a car dealership or Hooters?
It's not like any of the stations play 1411 kbs cd quality music, or vinyl. I'm old enough to remember when FM radio consisted of a DJ dropping a needle on a record resulting in pretty decent sound.
Sorry DJ's, There's always barber college....

cobblers, FM in the uk is far superior than digital radio, but I'm afraid yes, digital will take over because you can cram more stations on the air.

Mike;
Consider yourself lucky that your still able to enjoy FM radio of good quality in the UK.
Here in the states FM has all the appeal of used groceries.

Yes, much of it has no appeal ...but, thankfully, some of it is still well worth listening too.
I don't see how one can condemn all FM. Its not universally horrible just because a lot of it sucks.
