... I actually don't remember any sounds but I vividly remember the visual horror of the unfathomable happening before my eyes. I woke my wife and we both watched in horror with tears streaming down our faces.
It is the most horrific thing I have ever seen.
Just recalling the event is upsetting.
It is something I will never forget.

I, too, sat transfixed on the telly, watching the plumes of smoke from the 1st tower. And then that plane homes in on the 2nd tower...Absolutely horrific, and tears were streaming down my face, too.
I then had to leave for work - at a federal agency in Washington, DC. We didn't get much work done that day....

My wife and I were watching the TV and terribly alarmed because our son and daughter commuted by PATH under the WTC from Jersey City and their office was in the neighborhood. The mobile phone was not working and we did not know where they were till they got back to Jersey City by ferry and phoned us. That was a scary one full day.
