Here's another recent issue - when I go to "Edit my System" and old version of my system comes up for editing. What it comes up with is what I had a few weeks ago.

I just tried that and couldn't get it to not work. Does it still do that for you?

Yes still does - just to be sure I tried Chrome on Win 8, I normally use Firefox on Linux, but does it on both. Brings up a system I entered over the summer...

Ah, my bad. I'd forgotten to sync the page files over before going live on the new server. It should be good now.

Yup done. Did an edit and it worked.
If you ever have new revenue generating ideas and need a reasonably slick system, I'm a web developer of 20 years and use the Sencha framework from the ground up with my own API, written expressly for the purpose of getting the job done - as close to rapid application development as one can get on the net. I'm pretty busy right now with my current app which is online now - but sure have some fun ideas rolling around my head for audio! Probably more fun than revenue generating though.

I looked at the Sencha site and it's hard to figure out exactly what they provide. From what I could gather, it seemed interesting for either rebuilding apps or creating new ones. I'm guessing that form development and error checking tools are a key component along with all the new responsive CSS tweaks.
Our development is geared around mod_perl and Mason which allows reusable components and whatnot assuming you have them in your bag of tricks. I've been updating libs to support the UTF-8 character set changes and finding plenty of routines that could use a rewrite and a lot of libs that haven't been touched for 4 or 5 or even 8 years. If it ain't broke....but given time, I'd rewrite and update several apps.
Email me offline. One of the things that I'd like to do in the short term is to address the mobile/responsive issues.

I tried the "Send Email" link on firefox and chrome, no go both? Anyway, Sencha is a framework geared towards ground up development of new apps. Form development and error checking - yes, CSS - all happens automatically when you deploy their components (forms, grids, and a large collection of other components). I used mod_perl in a prior life on a very large system, and it took CPU usage from 99% to 10% and saved my butt, was getting over 200,000 logins per day via perl at that time.Sencha however is getting closer to a complete application development system - all you really need for a complete system is Sencha, php, and of course a dbms (I tend to use Oracle).
My app: http://www.hockeypoolguru.com (click "Demo")
Collection of Sencha "widget" examples: http://dev.sencha.com/ext/5.1.0/examples/index.html
Personally I'm only interested in new apps from the ground up - and being a major data grinder I like big apps with lots of complex data, I've oriented my entire API around it. A hockey pool manager may look simple - but it's a nasty, detailed, complex app the gets more and more complex with every feature pools can add, and don't even get me started on player trades.
PS: The "Trash Talk" feature in my app is a beautifully threaded little talk window in honor of AA threaded talk. Why you guys default to a linear talkboard baffles me - if AA were to not allow threaded conversations, I'd just stop reading - linear talkboards are massively less informative of the conversations, especially large ones IMO...

I thought it was just me experiencing a fluke glitch. I went in recently and modified my System twice to get it the way I wanted.
at least it would be if it prevented me from buying any new gear and 'editing' my system. ;-)
