I've been up since 2:30am, been playing with my new Aune Audio S16 DAC, been upsampling everything I listen to into DSD 128 via USB output using Foobar2000 and a Windows Laptop.
Sounds good to me.
Follow Ups:
I can understand why a person would upsample everything to the same sample rate and bit depth. Being able to pick a recording, any recording, and just play it or mix it with all the same settings makes life a little easier.
But don't think that the upsampled version sounds "better" because you upsampled it. Much more likely is that it might sound better (or worse) because you're playing it through different electronics.
A professional audio engineer might want to upsample a digital recording. It can be because they want/need to do some additional processing and want to minimize adverse effects from that processing.
:)
you shook me all night long...
wasnt The all nighter the name of a don henley album? or was it glenn frey?
...music was so loud and hot your chair burned down.
Clearly no accelerant, which would have left collateral damage.

actually I just woke up from a nap since that point. It was a good session, I think the electric grid is a lot cleaner during early morning hours. Pesky humans with their TVs and such are sleeping.
or you?
Personally, I can't stand Incenese.
DSD 128 is excellent, I also have a SACD player which I enjoy, I've been listening to a few pure DSD 128 tracks I bought and they sound great.
Whether I would say that is IT, I always think something new will come along.
most all formats, but DSD 128 is my Fav.
I'm glad to know someone else has and enjoys it too.
It was natural bacon smell. I used the Oscar Meyer brand :)

"Have you a water buffalo?"
Your post got me to remembering those early Sunday morning breakfasts before church, where you KNEW you were going to miss the early football game (East Coast game, West Coast Time), but Mom tried (and succeeded often) to make up for it with an absolutely killer breakfast of stacks of golden brown home-made pancakes or waffles (I preferred waffles) smothered in maple syrup and butter, or generous amounts of bacon and eggs, usually "Farmer John" bacon and local eggs from a friend's folks who owned an egg ranch nearby. Toast (varied, rye and whole wheat, usually) lightly-to-moderately browned, and of course, with lots (and I mean LOTS) of butter.
The smells of each of these were absolutely overwhelming to a starving brat like me, and so they still evoke those early Sunday morning memories that stir both hunger and nostalgia.
had chicken tacos for breakfast, now to the steak. Delivered too, I live in stealth on the weekends. 4 sunny side up eggs and buttered toast awaits as well ;)
Enjoy brother.
Man, the pasta and sauce are gonna be flying at The Italian Villa, OLD OLD OLD school Italian, in a couple of hours. Red sauces heavy on paste that have simmered for hours.

and NO corkage fee. Crappy bread tho. $11.85 each + tip. Stupidly good for the $$. Dessert was a made from scratch Pineapple Upside Down cake with a caramel pecan sauce here at mi casa.

that would cost me $45 without the wine here. and probably not as good.
We can find good Italian here IF we go to fambly run places where they're from the old country.
FYI, wine was "free" as we brought it in. Check out the prices for Pastas and Entrees on the menu, stoopit cheap and they come with a big, fresh greens, salad with a dressing I'd drink from the bottle.

Nothing like a good bowl/plate of hot creamy grits on a frigid morning

this was the original, ;)
Burning incense too thanks to inspiration from Winston Smith over at central ;)
that you can take such nice, well exposed pictures of pizza, but when you're taking pictures of your system, they all look like your trying to save money with low watt bulbs or attending a seance?Come to think of it, the system pictures are all here at General, and the pizza pictures are all over on Central. Maybe it has something to do with the the changes in virtual venue?

besides the very low wattage light pole, I only have 1 LED lightbulb (a phillips A9) in my living room, and it is covered by a black lampshade. My entire apartment is LED lit, I invested about $900 on LED light bulbs 7 years ago, and now they are cheaper, but I don't have to change the light bulbs for a long time. so yeah it is dark, also when I take the pictures of food I am in my kitchen which has 3 LED lights instead of one, and I usually have the pizza on the oven where there is a light above the oven.
That explains it.
Hmmm. One might ask "Why one lightbulb only, and why the black lampshade?" But not me, man. No sirree! I dig it.
Anyhoo, your posts are always very entertaining, so keep up the good work!

It is a nice atmosphere, dim light enhances creativity, and more importantly for me metaphysical understanding of my thought process. I've been doing a lot of inward work over the past decade, although living in ones head all the time can sometimes can be overwhelming.
here it is, just in case one is wondering.
enjoy the rest of the weekend, thanks for the kind words.
..... although my lungs and sinuses may some day regret these moments of ecstatic sensory stimulation. (Sort of like how my ears now regret my youthful --and frequent-- abuses via headphones and my penchant for loud, no, make that very loud, rock and roll and classical music.)
As my immediately previous post herein about 'breakfast smells' attests, I think smells of great food and frequent, strong and generous wisps of fine incense are definitely mood lifters and or/changers for me, ever since I can remember.
But we always have to bear in mind the sensibilities of others when engaging in this pursuit, and take other's feelings into account, that's for sure.
Thus, I was happy when my wife said she enjoyed the Nippon-Kodo "Morningstar" line of incenses (which I then immediately took as a 'green light' to stink the joint up as often as possible!)
In fact, I just lit up three sticks of "Fig" (a delicious scent!), and with the gentle morning breeze, it's slowly moving from one side of the house to the other, then gone. Very nice start to the day......
Hope everyone's day, in their own way, is equally nice.
Cheers!

but it was at afternoon Mass where my cousins go to church. Can't use it at home because my wife can't stand it. Irritates here eyes and nose and reminders her of memorial services in her native Korea. Oh, well, back to our protestant church I guess. :-)

What the wife wants, the wife gets, at least in my house, and it sounds like yours, too. And if she says, "No!" to incense, that's that.
Oh, well.
--sigh--
Look on the bright side: At least you can enjoy it at church. (I wonder what type they use...... )
bamboo sticks of forest, maybe will light up the Opium later. Still taking it all in, it lingers a little bit, but I smoke pipe, cigarette, and of course cigar ;)
Keep up the great and fun work of burnin' your way to happiness.
I'm with ya there, as are many other members, I'm sure.....
we open the doors and windows and smell a zillion trees...fir, pine, cedar & oak.
Incense & Peppermint?
