I recently put together a system on a relatively low budget.
Used Music Hall CD Player
Parasound P5 pre
Emotiva XPA-200
Emotiva and Audioquest cables/interconnects
Super MMG
For an upgrade, what is the best use of my money?
1. Having Peter Gunn mod my super MMG
2. Moving up to 1.7's
3. Upgrading my power amp
[4. Upgrading cables]
Tanks for the help!

Having been there and spent a lot of money and grief before I found out (then in retrospect) where I shoulda' spent the money first ...
... my easy suggestion is to upgrade the power cord to your CD player from whatever you are using now. Even the likes of the lowly Shunyata Venom 3 should be an improvement; it was for me.
Then upgrade the IC from that CDP to the Pre. The big picture: One simply can not ever make up the lost resolution (the music) from the source once out of the player. I found after setting up many different systems that a better power cord on the CD player to be of greater improvement to music than that of a better pair of ICs. Also, hard footers as opposed to the soft or stock feet can make a big improvement; I have used 3 scrap blocks of Maple that sound much better than stock feet.
After that I would think better stands for your Super MMGs would be in order. Not sure Peter is doing the Supers (yet). He is pretty on the ball about what he will "Gunn" best; he answers emails quickly too. FWIW, I have modified my 1.6s and they sound SOOO much better than stock, and for not much money, but a lot of research and DIY work. Better stands make better music for any Maggie. Not sure going to 1.7s will sound like an improvement much until everything upstream is improved.
Best of luck. Keep us posted. Maggie owners hang out on the Planar Asylum so feel free to ask any questions about the same there. [There are no stupid questions when it comes to Maggies.]

"Gunn"ing your MMGs will transform them. Dynamics and overall clarity were VERY noticeably improved when I had my 1.6s done...by nearly all reports, same should go for MMG.

Some room treatment would give you 10x the bang for the buck than any component change

#5 add stereo subwoofers to your existing system.
Have fun
+1 on the subs.
